Dear Hema!
I have followed your story with great involvement. I think I've learned a lot about you and how it is to grow in a country with the heritage from a different culture.
You have your parents expectations hanging over you, but you have a desire for being an independent woman taking your own decisions. I can assure you. It's not easy for any person to start a life of their own. But of course, your background in a Bengali culture is very different from common American way of living, and that gives you more challenges than other young people have. I was happy when I saw in the last story, that you met Kaushik again. I wished for you both that you could spend your life together. I can understand you keeping your promise to Navin, but I don't think I would have done the same. Now it's too late to regret. I hope for you that you will be pleased with your choice.
From an interested reader.
